Build-A-Queer Kids: The Queer Trans (QT) Project Mails Transition Starter Packs to Minors

The Queer Trans (QT) Project has come under fire for mailing inappropriate packages to children. According to their mission statement, “We are a black-led and trans-led organization on a mission to provide gender-empowering resources to LGBTQ+ individuals all across the world so that they have the power and confidence to create social change in their communities.” The group advertises its “gender-empowering resources,” or Build-A-Queer Kits, to tens of thousands of children on TikTok. These kits, filled with gender-affirming items like condoms, chest binders, and FtM packers, are mailed in oddly purple envelopes so parents, guardians, and loved ones won’t know what was received. In the past, packages from The Queer Trans (QT) Project contained pepper spray, knives, tasers, and coloring books – all discreetly mailed to your home, for your child, behind your back, free of charge.

The Queer Trans (QT) Project is a tax-exempt, trans-led nonprofit with a history of mailing such packages to minors. The company no longer specifies an age limit directly on its website, but section one of its online store terms covers it from any liability involving minors who use the site. To ensure that parents don’t discover what their children are up to, their website conveniently features an “emergency exit” system. They’re so terrified of being exposed that their sister site even includes a warning.

Impressionable children and teens alike are surrounded by the deception that boys can be girls and girls can be boys, that they shouldn’t accept themselves the way they are because they were born wrong and have to be butchered and sewn back together into something else.

Rather than being told she is beautiful just the way she is, The Queer Trans (QT) Project reinforces the lie that a girl can become a boy: all she needs is the Build-A-Queer Kit. The QT Project is not promoting courage or teaching kids to be themselves. It encourages its victims to run from their fears, hide behind masks, and play a part in a pseudo-theatre where “all the world is a stage.” Encouraging self-hatred of one’s natural body is a toxic mindset to encourage.

If you visit either of the websites, you’ll be met with five biological females and one biological male, all posing and pretending to be something they are not, all in an attempt to sell products that reinforce maladaptive behavior. How does it work? If your child is selected to receive a free Build-A-Queer Kit, then they get to choose four items sent to them absolutely free. These items are designed to help your child socially transition. The QT Project builds anticipation with multiple email reminders and countdowns.

The binder looks relatively harmless, does it not? However, binders work by tightly compressing the breasts to flatten them and create a more masculine appearance. This practice can cause serious issues for developing breast tissue, including, but not limited to, shortness of breath, back pain, poor posture, light-headedness, and chest pain (O’Malley, p. 131, 2025). Breast binding contributes to rib fracture, spinal deformity, overheating, swelling, skin changes, scarring, and skin infections. If we look back at history and scoff at the corsets forced upon women during the 19th century, why do we allow girls to wear binders? Are binders something that should be sent to developing girls unchecked and without safeguards?

The most obscene item in the package was a fake penis and packing underwear. “Packing” is the practice of using material to create a bulge so that a trans-identified female appears to have a penis. Although there may be no physical damage as with binding, sending a minor a penis like the one shown above is obscene and can be considered grooming. Gender Grip Tape can be used for breast binding, penis packing, or tucking the genitals inside the body.

Tucking is the practice of forcing and taping the penis into the groin to appear more feminine. There are dangers associated with tucking, including infertility, rashes, pain, itching, and skin infections.

The purpose of this Gender Ideology path leads from social transitioning to mutilation.

Children are surrounded by the lie that gender is fluid, puberty blockers are reversible, binders are safe, packing is normal, and tucking is no big deal – they can even change sex at will. All they have to do is order a kit from The QT Project to become their “authentic selves.” Did the Build-A-Queer Kit turn me into a man? No, of course not. Anyone can see that I am not a man. I look like an obscene caricature of a man out of someone’s nightmares. We should not celebrate this. We should not encourage children, teens, or young adults to play pretend. Above all, we must stop lying to these children. We need to stand on truth and call it what it is: child grooming.

If I, an adult, feel and look obscene, then we need to stop calling these children brave and courageous. We need to stop forcing them to see, touch, and wear realistic and sexual products, when they are already uncomfortable with their own growing bodies. Stop telling children that they need to prance around in public wearing sex gear, harming their healthy bodies, and wearing fake genitalia in order to be their “authentic selves.” Stand up for truth, teach children how to be comfortable with themselves, expose the Gender Ideology lies, and hold these shady companies accountable for the harm they’re inflicting on children! Support tomboys who refuse to conform. Celebrate real girls, not Build-A-Queer knockoffs. The Tomboy Project uplifts strong, confident young women who know they don’t need hormones, binders, or silly pronouns to be themselves.
